Croatian School “Cardinal Stepinac” is a Croatian supplementary school. Croatian School classes are held every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Youth dance group “Club Stepinac” usually meets on Wednesday evenings.
Students have an opportunity to learn Croatian language, culture, geography and history in the Croatian language and history classes. During the dance and tambura classes students are learning to dance Croatian dances and kolos, and play tambura as well as other traditional instruments (violin, bagpipes, etc.), which are a part of the Croatian music heritage.
The term “Croatian School” in the broad sense of the word refers to elementary, but also high school students, which are gathered in a dance group “Club Stepinac”. In the narrow sense of the word, “Croatian School” is only used in reference to elementary school students.
