Our school organizes several excursions and outings during the school year. Some of the outings include the following trips:
Apple Picking, County Line Orchard, Hobart, Indiana
We enjoy visiting local apple orchards in the fall. In 2016, we visited County Line Orchard in Hobart, Indiana. Despite the rainy weather, our students had a great time and enjoyed picking apples, visiting a mini zoo and listening to the live band at the orchard!
Every other year our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students have an opportunity to visit the Notre Dame University, a home to many wonderful sculptures of the famous Croatian sculptor, Ivan Meštrović, who spend the last portion of his life at Notre Dame.
At the end of January, during the Catholic Schools Week, our school typically organizes a roller skating outing. The school usually partners up with a roller skating venue to include Croatian pop music entertainment during our party!
At the end of the school year, after our Mother’s Day celebration, K-8th grade students are enjoying a visit to one of the two zoos in the Chicagoland area. This is a great, relaxing outing during which we enjoy each other’s company, talk about the past year as well as our summer plans – and all of this while we check out some cool animals.
