On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, the United Center turned a little more red and white as our school families joined the St. Jerome parish community for Croatian Heritage Night with the Chicago Bulls, who took on the LA Clippers.
The evening was organized through St. Jerome Parish’s Croatian Heritage Special Ticket Offer, and the response was overwhelming: nearly 300 tickets were sold through the parish offer. Each special-offer ticket came with a Croatian Heritage hat, so our community was easy to spot around the arena.
Before the game, our group arrived early for a special Benchwarmers pre-game experience, watching the players warm up from just behind the boards in the lower bowl. Then it was off to our seats to cheer on the Bulls, with plenty of šahovnica shirts, Bulls hats and painted cheeks in the stands.
Nights like this are a joyful reminder of how big and lively our Croatian community in Chicago is, and how much fun we have when we come together, whether in the parish hall or at the United Center.
